Exploring the Library

From PreK onward, our learners visit the library for regular classes where students are encouraged to explore their own interests and develop a sense of belonging through participation. By Upper Division, students understand that the library is a resource that supports their critical thinking skills through research, evaluation, and analysis.

Many Ways to Learn

The library has a variety of materials and learning spaces, including a Makerspace, which invites creative, collaborative, and hands-on experiences. Library teachers guide students to practice their storytelling skills across multiple media, with technology resources that support graphic design, podcasting, green screen, and video production.

Part of the Curriculum

Our four full-time librarians partner with teachers to expand the classroom curriculum. They also thoughtfully curate the library's extensive collection, making sure the collection reflects the diversity of all members of our community. Students should expect to see themselves in what they read and learn, and gain understanding and appreciation of the perspectives of others.
